Win a Spirit Hood from SpritiHoods.com and FleaTheMagician

My sister site Idol360.org is running a contest that I believe appeals to the general anime convention going audience, so I am cross posting it here, and everyone gets a chance to win!

This week we are giving away an awesome hood by Spirit Hoods. The same kind seen on Ke$ha, Fergie and Bruno Mars. These hoods are a hot accessory for the winter, and let you show your WILD side. These hoods are made from faux fur, but don’t be mistaken, this fake fur truly feels and looks real. A great deal of time and energy was spent in the design of each hood, each having its own unique characteristics and charm, from ears to buttons – no two hoods are the same. A portion of the proceeds from every “Product Blue” hood sold is donated to helping the specific animal the hood is designed after. So even if you don’t win, check out Spirit Hoods Product Blue page and see how you can help out.

Now on to the contest. It’s easy to win! Simply post this message to your twitter account: Want to win a SPIRIT HOOD just like the one Ke$ha wears? Find out how at http://bit.ly/bfPkfw and follow @Idol360 and @SpiritHoods to win!
Double your chance to win by blogging about this contest and sending a link to @ spirithoods@idol360.org.

One winner will be chosen via random draw at the end of the contest on October 28th. Winner must be following @Idol360 and @SpiritHoods to be able to claim their prize. Style of hood is subject to change. One entry per account per day, and subsequent entries will not count.

AAC 2010 - THIS WEEKEND!

We will be at Another Anime Convention in Nashua NH this weekend! This is one of our favorite conventions to attend. The people there are great and there is lots of fun to be had and havoc to create.

Check out our previous photo galleries below!

Another Anime Convention 2009

In 2009 we had our own dealers room booth during the day, and partied all night. The link goes to a video we did with Things Are Worse Than Ever. So check that out too!

See you this weekend!

Otakuthon Photo Gallery - Galerie de Photos Otakuthon

I had a great time at Otakuthon! It was my first time there, but I’m sure I will attend next year. Please use the link below to view my gallery for the convention.

J’ai eu beaucoup de plaisir à Otakuthon! C’était ma première fois là-bas, mais je suis sûr que je vais assister à l’année prochaine. S’il vous plaît utilisez le lien ci-dessous pour voir ma galerie de la Convention.

Connecticon 2010 Photo Galleries! Caw-Caw!

This year’s Connecticon was amazing. We met some great people, and partied hard! Unfortunately for my site, I lost about 50% of my photos in a horrible memory card accident. I will be trying my hardest to get a new camera for our next convention, Otakuthon, in August.

I do have the surviving pictures, and will be uploading them shortly!

UPDATE!

The photo gallery has been uploaded! Check it out here: http://fleathemagician.com/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=28

Where We Went + 3 New Cons for 2010

Shortly after Posting about going to PAX East, my life got sent into a bit of a tailspin. One of my best friends died while I was at the convention. The weekend after that I had obligations to staff Anime Boston (which is why there was no coverage from that convention this year). Shortly after that, my godmother passed away. Then my mom and I were forced out of our home and had to move (which thankfully went smoothly thanks to some great friends, many of whom have helped out with the site). The last bit of news that hit my family hard was the death of my grandmother on May 27th.

With all this pain and suffering, I am looking forward to happier times in the form of Connecticon (Connecticut, July 9-11), Otakuthon (Montreal, Aug 13-15) and Another Anime Convention (New Hampshire, Oct 15-17).

Our GRAND RE OPENING will be for CONNECTICON! I just confirmed our Hotel reservations for the weekend and we are ready to go!

Check out our CONNECTICON 2007, CONNECTICON 2008 and CONNECTICON 2009 galleries, and we hope to see you there!

NOT DEAD YET!

We will be at PAX this weekend. Holy Shit!

ANOTHER ANIME CONVENTION 2009

So, this convention exists, and is happening this weekend. We’ll be there doing INTERVIEWS and SOMETHING in the artists alley.

Connecticon 2009 Photos

Our Connecticon Photo Gallery is up. Be sure to check it out by clicking here, or the picture above.

Goodbye Connecticon!

Connecticon has come to an end, and I think we can all agree that it was a great time. Our photo gallery will be up soon for you all to enjoy. And thanks to our ace reporter Phil, we have some very special interviews with some of the comic and webcomic guests from the convention, so keep on the lookout for those in the near future.

Congratulations to the lucky people who received some of the first FleaTheMagician.com merchandise which included dog tags and a pretty bitching blow up shark (seen above)
Some special shout outs to the entire nerdfit crew, sketched out life, and everyone we got to meet at the convention, it was a great time!

If you would like to trade links, please contact me at TSFlea@gmail.com or post here, I would love to affiliate with you!

Connecticon may be over, but there is much more in store. Check back for our webcomic interviews, photo galleries, and in November ANOTHER ANIME CONVENTION takes New Hampshire on an epic quest!

If you like American Idol, which I hope some of you do, please check out my other site at http://www.Idol360.org where you can find not only the latest Releases from American Idol artists past and present, but also rare and hard to find music from favorites like Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert, and Kris Allen.

Thanks for visiting!

Connecticon!

Connection is this weekend and I could not be more excited! We’re going to party hard. As always keep an eye out for us, and stop by all of the Nerdfit.com events too because those guys are awesome.

Otakon photos are up!

Otakon was great. Lots of photos were taken, and balloons were blown up! Congratulations to those who got the Penguin and the Dog Tags. I’ll have more at Connecticon.

Just click on the banner at the top of this post (or HERE) to see 140 photos from the con. If you see yourself and want me to add contact information to your photo, just email me at tsflea at gmail com and let me know.

Otakon Press Access

We have just officially been granted press access for Otakon 2009 this July. Get ready Otakon, we’re coming!

My Anime Boston photos are FINALLY ready, but due to “Technical Difficulites” there are only 27 pictures this year. I am however excited to announce will again be at Otakon, Connecticon and Another Anime Convention this year. I also have a SPECIAL BOUNS GALLERY that will be up later today!

Check out the Anime Boston 2009 Photos Here!

Ask me how to get $4

In all honesty, AB has been lacking in the fun department. Friday came and went, we only took about 20 pictures. Con is a snoozefest. Room (hot window) parties is(are) where it’s at. We’re going to see if we can do better for Saturday. I WANT to have fun at this convention, I really do. So I’m going to con as hard as I can, and maybe I’ll be able to keep myself awake past midnight.

Anime Boston starts this Friday

We will be in attendance at Anime Boston all weekend. Be on the lookout for our infamous cards, and maybe some new surprises. We will be taking pictures, and video for a special project, so keep checking back for that too. Also, if anyone hears about any hot window parties, let us know!

Lady GaGa & Kelly Clarkson Grammy Party Photos

I had the privilege of going to see Lady GaGa and Kelly Clarkson (with host Blake Lewis) at a special “private” grammy party at the House Of Blues in Boston, MA. I was in the front, but I was too busy enjoying the show to see that my camera was on the wrong setting. I’ve got over 100 pictures, but they’re not all great.

The show was amazing. I went for Kelly Clarkson, but I came out a HUGE GaGa fan and I can not stop listening to her. I wish she would have done a song WITH Kelly, but it was amazing regardless.

Anime Boston Update

FleaTheMagician.com has been DENIED a press badge for Anime Boston. We will still be covering it, but it MAY be our last year unless something awesome happens to make us change our minds. We will however be (respectfully) stepping up our advertising efforts at the convention. Flyers, PRIZES and more.

Katsucon 2009 Photos

All the photos by Flea are up HERE. There are about 300 of them so check it out! All the photos that Fish took will be up within the next couple of days, so keep checking back.

Edit: Update! 360 New photos uploaded, all taken by Fish. Check them out HERE. (His pictures start on the bottom row)

Larger clearer photos coming soon!

I’m working on processing over 2000 photos from this past weekend’s Katsucon. New for 2009 the pictures will now be 800×600 in size (formerly 614×461). This allows for better viewing on your screen, as well as more detail in the pictures! I hope you like it. Some of the photos will be up within a few hours with the rest to follow in the coming days. Please please let me know what you think. I would love to hear about what you like and what you don’t like!

Katuscon is a GOGOGO!

Reporting live from Katsucon 2009. We have EXCLUSIVE Aural Vampire pictures ready to go for Monday or Tuesday. I am predicting at least 500+ pictures from this con. It’s gonna be great so keep an eye on the site!
